<p>Oracle9<span class="italic">i</span>およびOracle8<span class="italic">i</span>のリリースのデータベース・<a href="n8ahelpinstance.htm">インスタンス</a>は、<a href="n8ahelpinitialization_parameter_file.htm">初期化パラメータ・ファイル</a>のINSTANCE_NAMEパラメータで識別されます。INSTANCE_NAMEは、インスタンスの<a href="n8ahelporacle_system_identifier_sid.htm">Oracleシステム識別子(SID)</a>に相当します。クライアントは、<a href="n8ahelpconnect_descriptor.htm">接続記述子</a>でINSTANCE_NAMEパラメータを指定して、特定のインスタンスに接続できます。</p>
